Mr. Schechner is a Partner at MTS and has extensive deal experience in biopharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical services with a particular emphasis on biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, contract manufacturing, contract research, and food service. With more than 20 years of Wall Street experience, he has built and managed several respected life sciences investment banking practices and held senior investment banking positions at Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns, Baird and JMP Securities. He understands not only the M&A environment specific to health care companies but also the capital markets dynamics for them. Throughout his career, Mr. Schechner has executed numerous M&A, partnership, public offering, and private financing transactions for clients, venture capital funds and private equity funds. Notable transactions include the merger of Bell Atlantic and NYNEX to form Verizon, Pfizer’s Acquisition of Warner Lambert, Pharmacia’s merger with Monsanto, Warburg Pincus’ investment in GA Foods and GenNx360’s investment in Whitsons.

Mr. Schechner earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and B.A. from Cornell University.
