Boca Raton, FL (April 2, 2014) – Promise Healthcare, a national long-term acute care hospital company based in South Florida, has officially assumed operations of six health care facilities previously owned and operated by Fundamental Long Term Care.

Effective as of March 18, the inclusion of these six facilities brings Promise’s portfolio to a total of 17 long-term acute care (LTAC) hospitals (with an additional two LTAC hospitals currently under construction) and two skilled nursing facilities. Located throughout Texas and Kansas, the newly added facilities will establish this area as a major market presence for Promise.

Peter Baronoff, Chief Executive Officer of Promise Healthcare, said the incorporation of the six facilities aligns with the company’s goals for strategic development and growth.

“It was important to seek out markets that would benefit from our deep understanding of the LTAC industry along with our focus on prioritizing patient care. Bringing these facilities on board is also a key element in our growth and diversification strategy. By adding two skilled nursing facilities, we have the opportunity to expand our services and expertise within the health care continuum,” said Baronoff. He went on to say, “we are delighted for this new venture and are pleased to welcome our new facilities to the Promise family.”

Promise Healthcare will continue their expansion plan with the opening of two brand new LTAC hospitals in Fort Myers, Florida and Miami Lakes, Florida in late 2014.
